TASR: a national news agency's archive, open to everyone

The News Agency of the Slovak Republic digitised its archive of photographs, negatives and reports, and opened it to the public on MediaINFO Digital Library.

TASR, the News Agency of the Slovak Republic, digitised more than 1.5 million objects from its archive: negatives, photographs, slides, microfiche, agency reports and newspaper articles. The project was finished in 2015. The agency's public archive now shows more than 1.4 million of them to anyone.

The agency's director general called the digitisation TASR's contribution to the twentieth anniversary of an independent Slovak news agency. The archive runs on MediaINFO Digital Library.
