Geneza MediaINFO™ makes SCSTI’s digital library initiative a reality.

The Slovak Centre for Scientific & Technical Information (SCSTI) has chosen to use Geneza’s MediaINFO to help provide its stakeholders and users with a raft of digital services and take an evolutionary step in the institution’s digital strategy.
SCSTI is a national information centre, and a specialised scientific library in the Slovak Republic focused on technical, natural, economic and social sciences. MediaINFO will assist to fulfill the institution’s commitment in providing access to all types of Slovak and international documents such as standards, patents, and company literature. as well as documents of the depository libraries of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), EBOR, and the World Intellectual Property Organization.
For the this purpose, SCSTI will be integrating MediaINFO with its systems and workflow and bring relevant, and easily browsable content to researchers, scientists, and other key audiences.

The Slovak Centre for Scientific & Technical Information (SCSTI) also known as CVTI in Slovakia, is a specialized, public, research library. The organization contributes to the development of science, technology and education by building and managing a specialized library and information collections as well as the provision of library and information services to professionals. The SCSTI is directly managed by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic.
The institution, founded in 1938 and for most of its 70-year history known as the Slovak Technical Library. The SCSTI mission is to contribute to the promotion of science and technology in Slovakia, particularly through the establishment and operation of complex information systems for research and development. It is implementing projects co-financed by EU Structural Funds through the Operational Programme Research and Development, which serve mainly to provide comprehensive support services to the scientific community in Slovakia.
